I am experiencing an issue with email notifications for custom order statuses in WooCommerce. I have created custom order statuses (“Order Shipped” and “Order Delivered”) and set up specific email notifications for these statuses. The email templates I created work perfectly with the original WooCommerce statuses but do not function at all with the new custom statuses, even though they use the same template.

Here are the steps I’ve taken so far:

    1. I have activated the emails for the custom statuses in the “Custom Order Status Manager for WooCommerce” plugin.
    2. I am using SMTP mail for sending emails.

Despite these configurations, I am unable to send emails to customers when the order status changes to “Order Shipped” or “Order Delivered.”

Could you please provide any guidance or solutions to resolve this issue? Are you able to send emails to customers upon status changes with custom statuses, such as “Order Delivered”?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hello,

It’s a pleasure to help you.

What you mentioned has been verified and works correctly. What I would suggest is that you create a staging site and properly configure the emails for both the administrator and the customer. Please take a look at the documentation to see how to configure the plugin on its official site and the emails in WooCommerce.

For now, run tests only with the plugin.

This way you can rule out any issues on your site that might be causing errors.

If you need more help, I’m here to assist you.

    – Peace !.

    Hello,

We are experiencing persistent issues with email notifications for custom order statuses created via the “Custom Order for WooCommerce” plugin. While the default WooCommerce email templates function correctly with the pre-existing statuses, using the same templates for custom statuses leads to errors.

    Issues Encountered:

    1. Null $order object: In custom email templates, the $order object is often null, triggering fatal errors when attempting to call methods on it.
    2. Output Buffering Errors: We also face recurring ob_end_flush() errors related to output buffering management.
    3. Deprecated Function Use: Warnings have been issued for using the deprecated ltrim() function.

These problems suggest potential incompatibilities with the plugin, theme, or server setup that may require further investigation. We would appreciate any additional support or guidance you can provide to resolve these issues and ensure proper functionality of email notifications for custom statuses.
