E-mail not sending

hey @wpdevelop. actually, @ruthieou solved her issue by switching hosts :-/ kinda drastic but she could not login with the password assigned her.

sounds like this problem isn’t authentication but a gmail black hole. @schnicel, are you using a custom domain in the FROM address? if you are, make sure it has an SPF record on it. If you are using a Gmail in the FROM address, make sure you are sending through the smtp.gmail.com server.

9/10 your issue is one of those two things.

The FROM adress is set to: “[visitoremail]” should I put in a static e-mail adress?

[visitoremail] is useful for automatic replacing this shortcode by the email, that was entering by the visitor.
You can try to replace it just in case to test if its help you or not.

I set uup SMTP mail instead of phpMail and set the same e-mail address in the FROM field instead of the shortcode and that fixed everything. Thanks.
