Hi, Lauren. Please could you share a link to your site? It would help to see the link in place to figure out what’s happening here. Thanks!

    Sure, it’s https://www.fortheloveoflasagna.com

    Thanks, Nick!

Thanks for sharing the link! It works for me in Chrome, Firefox, and iOS – I’m redirected to the new message pane in Gmail/Mail.

If the computer you’re using doesn’t have a default mail client set up, though, clicking the mailto link may have no effect or just open a blank window.

As soon as you set a default mail client, it should work great. (For example, in Gmail with Chrome, you have to visit Gmail and then click this button to allow Gmail to be used as the default mail client: https://d.pr/i/J24Z )

One option you can consider for a more consistent experience is to create a contact page containing a form (using Ninja Forms or similar), then link your email button to that.

Got it! So it was really an issue with my browser settings, not the actual way I had it set up? I tried it at my office today and it worked fine there, so hopefully it was just my setting, but I adjusted them per your screen shot.

    Thanks for your help!

You’re welcome! Yes, it sounds like this was a browser settings issue. If you encounter any other issues, feel free to let us know.
