E-mail field not showing with Akismet

    Hi,

    I have a subscription to Akismet and configured it with CF7. Now the e-mail field appears to be dissapearing when using the Akismet code.

    Upon removing this code, the e-mail field is visible again.

    This problem occurs throughout the entire website at multiple forms.

    Both Akismet and CF7 are updated to the newest version, WordPress version 5.1.1

    I did everything exactly according those steps, but when I add the code akismet:author_email to the e-mail field, it disappears. When I remove it, the field shows back again.

    That’s because of where you have it in the code. Can you paste your email field code here? OR, move it before the placeholder (assuming you’re using), and see what happens.

    I have found this to be another bug in CF7. I also believe that it circumvents akismet from checking it correctly.

    You are correct! When I place the akismet:author_email BEFORE the placeholder tag, it works again!

    Indeed an odd bug, or they should at least say it at the information page.
