E-mail does not send (no cache plugin)

    Not getting the emails. I DO NOT have any cache plugin installed at all and I have also deactivated ALL other plugins, just to be sure.

    Why am I not getting any emails? Neither as user or admin. Thanks

    Using basic starter _underscores theme, on local.

    WordPress 5.7.2 | PHP 7.4.2 | MySQL 5.7.26

    Also tested using the WP TwentyTwenty theme, no plugins.

    All other emails being received. eg: when a new user registers, when a form is filled in, when there is a plugin update, when WordFence security plugin picks up anything etc. So receiving emails elsewhere is fine. Just not for this plugin.

    Hi,

    Our plugin uses the wp_mail() (WordPress core) function to send the emails, just like WordPress and many other plugins. This function uses PHP’s mail function by default, but can be configured to use SMTP instead.
