E-mail an alert when a page is visited

  • Hey everyone, my client would like to be alerted by e-mail every time a particular page is visited. I was just going to create a template with some simple mailing code, but I didn’t know if there was a plugin already (couldn’t find any at least). Has anyone heard of something like this?

  • There is probably javascript or other code on the Internet you could put in a template. Better hope its a very dead site. Even Bots visiting will count as a page visit….

    That’s what I was thinking too, but the client seems to have this already in place on their current custom proprietary CMS, and will likely insist. I’ll probably just use some php to set up a mailer when the site is accessed, and if it gets out of hand we can turn it off.
