• In the General Settings, the e-mail address entry for “E-mail address | This address is used for admin purposes, like new user notification.” allows entry of the e-mail address, but I don’t see where or how to enter a password for that account.

If you don’t specify a password, and none is required, and that worked, then you could just use anyone’s e-mail account, which you can’t, so what am I missing?

Also, I’ve heard that there are two locations where you can, or must, enter an e-mail address.

Right now, our TDO Mini Forms video submission plugin is sending e-mail using gmail (supposedly), but the reply-to address (?) is set as:

    From: WordPress <[email protected]>

    which is a non-existent e-mail address.

And the registration system is using the e-mail address that was specified before I just changed it. (???)

  • You can indeed put any email address you want in there (assuming it’s not already in use in another user profile on the site), but hopefully as the site admin or someone managing his/her own profile, you wouldn’t put just anyone’s email address there.

IDK anything about TDO Mini Forums.

    No help here?

I’m talking about the main wordpress e-mail address.

It is apparently using phpMailer as the ‘library’.
