E-commerce website 20k lines using Paypal – how to

  • Hi guys
    Does anyone know how I can produce a site in WordPress which does the following:

    selling 20k products with photos,
    using PayPal
    client can add stock, sold stock will be deleted from system

    I have done a few sites now using WordPress but not to this extent in respect of the size and funtionality. Would I need an e-commerce package?

    I would very grateful for any advice, thanks

  • I don’t know of any shop that will auto delete the item from the system after it is purchased. However some of the plugins that have stock control may stop the product from being ordered after the last one has been sold.

    Thanks Rich…yeah they need stock control.I wondered if I could buy an off the shelf package and integrate that

    have a look at the free plugins first.

    WP-eCommerce may be the best for you for that amount of products.

    eShop could handle that many, but there is no importer (well someone has written a paid for plugin to accomplish this).

    thanks again, I will have a look. I am wondering ZEN cart or OS commerce might be the direction to take
