e-Commerce Question

I’m very familiar with blogging on Blogger.com, but I’m a total newbie to WordPress and to a self hosted blog, so please forgive me if I’m posting in the wrong category as some of WordPress’ terms are new to me. If I have posted in the wrong category, please just tell me which one to post in and I’ll repost.

Two questions…

1) Does WordPress’ e-Commerce interface with other payment gateways like Kick Start Cart, or only with Google and Paypal?

2) Can I setup a blog where the page is viewable to the public, but the posts are viewable only to a “membership”, i.e. only specific WordPress user ID’s?
