Dynamically resizing thumbnail (featured image) container based on image size
-
Hey guys,
I’ve got an interesting one which I haven’t been able to find a solution for:
My blog (URL: https://imstillhungry.net) uses featured images for every post. In the twenty fourteen theme (what I’m using at the moment), I’ve noticed that each featured image is the same size, hard-cropped and there’s no option to change any of this.
I recently moved from a wordpress.com installation, URL stuffedfaces.wordpress.com which uses a theme called “pinboard”. As can be clearly seen (scroll down a few posts to get the hang of it) – the featured image section dynamically changes height to maintain an aspect ratio with a given width. Thus, I can see the full feature image every time, no matter the dimensions.
Is there a way to recreate this in my www.remarpro.com installation at imstillhungry.net?
Thanks for any help provided!
