Dynamic Widgets and Layer Slider won't dance!

Have been using Dynamic Widgets very successfully until I try to add the Layer Slider to my site. I need the Layer Slider to show up on the home page only. I have inserted it in a widget action hook area called “Graphene before content — main”. When I go to DW to the dashboard for the Layer Slider to make it dynamic, the dashboard is frozen: I can’t access any options for settings on individual pages.
I’m using WP 3.5.1, Graphene 1.8.2, and about 14 other plug-ins. These are the two that won’t work together. Each appears to work fine without the other, but together they don’t. There are 2 problems: the dashboard of DW is frozen where the Layer Slider is concerned, and there are also ajax issues in the dashboard of WordPress where notices overlap with other data.
This is a start-up site, constructing it in a sandbox here: pointeultimatepublishing.com/greenpointe. Layer Slider looks a little goofy at the moment, only b/c I have changed the overall dimensions w/o uploading the new photos with new dimensions to match. That shouldn’t matter to this issue.
Have you seen this incompatibility issue before? Any suggestions on where to start to troubleshoot? Thanks in advance for any advice.
