Dynamic tags with Elementor

The plugin seems to have a lot o potential. But, why does the plugin not work with custom fields? I can not use a custom field for background or text? When i query my desired custom field, nothing shows! Also, how exactly does it work that the current pages feature image is used for the sliders dynamic background when choosing “Post – featured image” and not the posts? Therefor, how would i have any other kind of dynamic images for other posts in the slider that way?! Or, am i missing something? Rgds, David.
