For a new woocommerce website i’m testing your Elex request a quote plugin. Unfortunately all plugin text is in English exept for the strings that can be translated from within the plugin itself.

I saw that there is a German mo and po file so i copied these files to elex-request-a-quote-nl_NL.po and elex-request-a-quote-nl_NL.mo.
With help of Poedit i tried to change the text to dutch and after compiling the mo file i upload both files to the /wp-content/plugins/elex-request-a-quote/lang directory. But whatever i try, the plugin keeps talking english to me.

Is the assumption that i can use an existing po file wrong and do i need a pot file? Where would i find this pot file and would that be the solution?

    Hello @benny54 ,

Thank you for getting in touch with us,

Regarding your question, you simply need the compiled files from the PO files to enable various translations. Could you please confirm if the existing German and Bulgarian translations within the plugin are meeting your requirements accurately? When we introduce new translations, we take the precaution of removing any fuzzy strings from the PO file before generating the MO file to prevent errors.

Furthermore, we have taken note of your correspondence via support Ticket and your interaction with our support team. They will provide you with an updated plugin zip file that includes Dutch (NL) translations. This will allow you to review and integrate these translations into your website.

If you have any inquiries or uncertainties, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

    Hi,

Via the ticket that i opened, i informed support about the following:

“I did some debugging to find why the textdomain of your plugin is not properly loaded. The debugging tells me that the mo file is not found. It would mean that the path in /wp-content/elex-request-a-quote/src/RequestaQuote.php (line 338) is not correct.”

    Hello @benny54 ,

We hope our support team has guided you about the path to use the translations added in the “Lang ” folder of the plugin. Assuming that the concern is resolved now. If you are still unable to figure out the process, you may provide your test site access with our support so that they can assist you in checking the same.

    Thanks
