    Hello ??

I have watched 4 tutorials of how to operate this amazing plugin, regrettably I have had no luck in completing the process.

most of the tutorials explain the access via Cpanel, I am using the C panel in Heart Internet – is anyone aware that this is a problem? I have attempted to upload a 320MB package and a 29MB package and neither work, my files in the cpanel are empty etc etc, i just wondered if there was an issue with using Heart Internets eXtend cpanel?

Would be great to get some advice – im going crazy!!!!!

  • Heart Internet works flawlessly with Duplicator geewhizzwizz, I use Duplicator constantly on domains on my Resellers Account.

Upload the archive/installer.php via FTP, not the Extend Control Panel ??

    Hey @geewhizzwizz,

Haven’t ever used that particular c-panel… Have you contacted HeartInternet to see if they know about the constraint? As @pixvault mentioned you can always use a client like Filezilla to FTP them…

    Cheers~

I’ve just had a brainwave geewhizzwizz!

I do know that heart have a 200mb limit on single file size, so that ‘could’ be the cause of the issue for the 320mb archive, don’t know about the 29mb archive though.

Try reducing the size of the 320mb archive by using filters to ignore the wp-content/uploads folder + any other large files. You can always upload these after a successful deploy via FTP to their respective folders

    Hi Guys,

firstly, thankyou so much pixvault for thinking of me, i can see that it had obviously been on your mind, and i appreciate that ??

    Thank you too Cory.

I had spent 3 days trying to do the above, constantly going through the step by step processes on all the tutorials, with no success, I can only assume that it must be me! Especially considering how many downloads duplicator has had (which did really make me think i was completely thick! haha)

So i tried an alternative plugin (sorry Cory !!) It does not have all of the features of yours such as auto back up etc, but did exactly what i wanted, copied everything on my site to a new domain, and it took THREE MINUTES, with no access needed to the cpanel – so absolutely perfect for a dummy like me! (i will not obviously mention its name here, but it was a life saver) I am sure, when i grow some new brain cells that i will use duplicator in the future, and thanks for both of your time.

    Hey @geewhizzwizz

No problem, just good to hear you got it going… Feel free to mention the other plugin, its really not a competition, I’m sure someone may benefit from it…

At the end of the day these plugins are about improving and helping you simplify the process so with time and good honest feedback we can make them better and more enjoyable for everyone to use…

    Cheers~
