    Hi there,

I’ve been using Duplicator for a while with no issues.

I’ve just upgraded to 0.5.12 and when I try to create a new package, the screen get stuck at “Scanning Site”.

It’s been left at that screen for the last 45 minutes, but it hasn’t progressed any further. Normally, the scan takes a couple of minutes max.

I’ve not added any new plugins and everything was working together prior to moving to 0.5.12.

    Any ideas please?

    Kind regards,

    Mel

    Hey Mel,

Most likely the scanner timeout or the PHP process was killed by your host. Do you happen to know how big the site is? You may have to create a filter to get it to run. Normally the Build process is what times out, but if you have a really large site, with a short timeout it is possible for the scanner to timeout as well…

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers Cory,

I had the problem with the build timing out before, so I already have some filters in place to fix that.

At the last duplicator copy I carried out last month, the site was only 58MB in size. That doesn’t sound particularly large to me.

Do I need to get my hosting company to do something and if so what?

    Thansk very much.

    Kind regards,

    Mel

    Hey Mel,

Large would be something like 500MB… If its only 58MB that is relatively small. Something seems to have gone wrong with the scanner… Ask your host if they have any clues, if not go ahead and shoot me a support ticket and I’ll have a look at it when I get a chance…

    Cheers~
