  • Hey 123mcz,

    1. Yes.
    2. Yes.
    3. No. But if you want to add a new one under the second step of the installer there is a spot to create a new account under advanced options.

    Hope that helps~

    Hi Cory,

Thanks for responding, I appreciate it.
I attempted using the Duplicator plugin to make the transfer and it unfortunately did not work for me.

I even conducted the transfer 4 alternative ways :
1st way: creating a new database and transferring the XAMPP site there
2nd: overwriting a new Softaculous WordPress install database on the live server with the XAMPP site
3rd & 4th: creating an admin account for the 1st and 2nd variations listed above.

In all 4 scenarios, I had the same end result: a new WordPress account was created which contained plugins and no content.

This series of events led me to conduct a manual FTP upload of my XAMPP site to my server. Unfortunately, this also did not work.
I wrote about my issue in my current post with the title:
“dysfunctional XAMPP site transfer to live server: database malfunction”

Should you have any insight on my peculiar case, I would really appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks,
