Bit the bullet and got duplicator pro to pull individual sites off a multisite install that has over 400 sites. When creating a new package the code appears to be erroring at the subsite listing as the page is truncating at that point, however strangely enough not generating an error in the logs. I hacked up their code and re-implemented their older version where they simply called get_sites() and while it worked, it only displayed 100 of the subsites. What’s bad though is if we want to move a single site we have to exempt EVERY subsite through their gui which would mean 480 clicks IF it actually displayed all the subsites. We thought there would be an option on the actual subsite admin to only do that subsite, but after doing a network install it doesn’t appear to be the case.

Has anyone had luck using duplicator pro with multisite? It doesn’t quite seem ready for prime time. Have yet to hear anything back from our ticket, but it has been less than a day.

  • Hey @sashman13,

If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue I can have a closer look at your setup and answer your question there. Typically the moderators ask us to work with Pro tickets outside of this forum. To save you time just provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.

    Thanks~

I’ve had good luck with DP up until recently, and their support has been a dead end. They typically go days between responses, and my last reply has been unanswered for 5 days now. I’m simply trying to copy a live site to my local pc–whould be a piece of cake. I would love to have another person take a look–maybe another person can give it a new perspective.

Didn’t have to wait too long for a reply, but regretfully the individual blamed it on the wp gui being overwhelmed by the 400 mu sites we have, when in fact if you waited long enough it got by that step. It was actually erroring at the subsite selection. They generating a manual package where they just created a backup of all 400 sites and said in the install screen we could select one subsite. Did this, and it installed the entire multi-site instead of the selected subsite. Really disappointing so far as the free duplicator plugin works great.
