Duplication creates empty WordPress site

    Hello

    Whenever I try to clone existing subsite, I receive blank WP admin page without any error messages. New subsite will appear, but it’s just fresh WordPress installation with default content.

    Logging gives me following:

    [08/Feb/2017:07:46:41] Start site duplication : from site 3
    [08/Feb/2017:07:46:41] Admin email : [email protected]
    [08/Feb/2017:07:46:41] Domain : xx.sitename.com
    [08/Feb/2017:07:46:41] Path : /
    [08/Feb/2017:07:46:41] Site title : Sitename

    I tried plugin in development environment, where the duplication worked as it should. Development environment has PHP 7 while production environment (where the problem appears) has PHP 5, otherwise they’re identical.

    Hello,

    Maybe you have a PHP Fatal error when duplicating on your production environment, but with debug false (-> blank page).

    Could you run the error again and provide us php error logs of your server ?

    Hello,

    It seems fatal error is related to PHPMailer and it happens, when server tries to send an email notification about newly created multisite. As a temporary fix, I disabled email notifications and duplication works just fine. So it wasn’t plugin-related issue at all.
