Duplicating a site on sub directory

Hi

We have a site setup but now need to make another language version ie. oursite.com/italian

We have copied the wordpress files and database over to the sub folder, renamed the database, pointed it to the new folder, changed the wp-config file but when going to the new site it comes up with wp-admin/install.php page.

Any ideas what we are doing wrong please?
