Duplicated website is broken – missing and broken plugin and theme data

    Hello, after making a duplicate of a website – from one subdomain to another, the duplicate is broken. What I notice on first sight:
    – the Theme options are lost and reset to defaults.
    – the WPML plugin data is lost ( “You need to configure WPML before you can start translating” )
    – the “WooCommerce All Discounts Lite” plugin has one instance of bad data – the title of one of the discounts has changed from “Summer sale -10%” to “Summer sale -10{fd0c1d80c0c08d0814bfa4af24601f464034f0c634582f91a1c7d7605741b5d0}”
    – other plugins look Ok (but I haven’t checked thoughtfully), and so are the posts, pages, woocommerce orders, etc.

    The duplication was performed with no errors or warnings. I tried exporting only the database and copying the files manually – the problems still persist. I have successfully used Duplicator on this website many times before.

  • Typically if you see a lot of data integrity issues its because the database server versions are too far apart and the database you moved it to is older than where it was created. This is not always the case but can be an issue in some cases. Did you happen to see any errors/warnings in the installer-log.txt file (please don’t post all the results on the forum)?

    It’s the same database, on the same server – I am just duplicating between subdomains on the same website. There are no warnings/errors in the install log:
    ERRORS FOUND: 0
    TABLES DROPPED: 0
