I’ll get to the point, I was trying to edit the SEO of my about page, however, what I saw was an duplicated slug?

Here’s the image: (NOTE: you will redirected to an secured print screen or image preview site)

I’m using a FREE version of yoast since I’m also starting making this website and I’m very confuse why. The product page works fine tho. And what I remembered is, I also edited or change the options that I found in Search Appearance tab on yoast seo, and I think it was because of that but I’m not sure, and also I don’t know where.

    Thank you so much!

    Hi @leiikun

We’re not sure we understand what the issue is. Do you mean that you changed the slug of the page from /about/ to /about-us/ but it’s still loading under the /about/ URL? The screenshot doesn’t seem to clarify what the issue is. Could you provide some more details on this?

As you can see in the slug why it’s like:
    softakun.shop > about-us > about-us.

I’m confused why it became like that. Usually, it should only like:
    softakun.shop > about-us

    right?

    Thanks for following up.

The issue may be due to your permalinks settings. If you go to WordPress > Settings > Permalinks and save, does the issue persists? Also, is there a difference when you switch between mobile and desktop results?

Although, nothing changed in permalinks, just the slug.

I navigated to permalinks tab and Yoast show me this:

    WARNING:
Changing your permalinks settings can seriously impact your search engine visibility. It should almost never be done on a live website.

It just the slug display that is shown in search SEO preview when editing a page/post.

I’m wondering if it will affect my SEO for a page or website, also Yoast wants me to put a slug even at the landing/home page (softakun.shop/).

    So I added:
    softakun.shop > software

    Thank you!

I’m also aware of changing permalinks since I’m not new at WordPress.

As I said on my first thread, I got duplicated slug
    softakun.shop > about-us > about-us

    Hi,

It’s this page https://softakun.shop/about, right? And your concern is that the Google Preview shows the breadcrumb output as showing ‘about us’ twice in the breadcrumb path as a possible preview?

We’re trying to check on the page again, but we don’t see the Yoast SEO schema metadata output. Could you please check if it’s enabled so we can check this further?

    Yes right, why’s that happening?

I do always check SEO on each page and schema data, I wouldn’t even publish the post if the SEO is not in green.

I also activated a plugin for custom schema, but for the about page I set it as a type of ‘About page’ from Yoast SEO Schema (not from the custom schema plugin).

    Thank you!

    Hi,

We see that you have another plugin that is outputting schema, and we suspect it’s causing the Yoast SEO schema not to output (as we don’t see it in the page source). If you were to temporarily deactivate that other plugin that is outputting the schema, can you check in the Rich Results Test if the Yoast SEO schema is detected?

As for the Google Preview for the breadcrumb path, we’d need to check on the Yoast SEO schema to check the breadcrumb schema output, but we’re unable to do so as it isn’t outputting currently.
