    Hello,
    first sorry for my english.
i’m sorry also if this can appear a stupid question, but i really don’t know what to do ; in google search console i’ve sitemap_index and if i click ,obviously, inside there are the others sitemap (post, pages…) with the right amount of URL.

Now, in the google search console sitemap front page, with sitemap_index i have listed again post and pages sitemap (so i think they are duplicated), but amount of url are different.
my question is, can i delete the duplicated post and pages sitemap and take just sitemap_index with the other inside?
    thanks!

    Hello @jimbox1985,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The Yoast-generated XML sitemap is located at sitemap_index.xml. This is the XML sitemap index and contains other individual sitemaps.

If you have other sitemaps, we recommend that you delete and retain only the sitemap_index.xml.
