    Hey,

    I recognize, that there is an issue with duplicated posts submitted by USP.

    If you let user choose the post, it is likely, that two of them are choosing the same name.
    Any chance, we can let the plugin automatically add a number or any ID to the post, so that two posts with the same title will be named: Post Title – 1 and Post Title – 2 for example?

    Also if I disable the field, where the user can choose the title himself, the plugin created a post named: User Submitted Post for EVERY entry done with this settings. That makes it impossible to add a second post by anybody, before the first one was edited.

    Would be great, if anybody could help me out here!

    Glad to help:

    To prevent this, you can enable the setting, “Unique Titles”.

    It’s a good idea, I will add it to the to-do list for the next update.

    Correct, if you enable the setting, “Unique Titles”, it is assumed that the “Post Title” field will be displayed, so the user can choose a unique title. So just disable the Unique Titles setting if you are not displaying the Post Title field.

    did that, they get an error message now, but that is very annoying, so an update which allows duplicated posts by just adding a -1 or whatever to the page title would be awesome!

    Just to follow up with this, the forthcoming version of the plugin (v20161119) appends a unique date/time string to the default Post Title. This is filterable using the USP hook, usp_default_title. More information and an example are provided in the plugin docs > FAQs: “How can I translate the default Post Title?”
