I have duplicated a site that is online to use it in “WP Local” to test updates there. Everything has worked well so far with cloning. However, calling the page brings me back to the “online version” (under original URL). Testwise I have the page again online on the server cloned under another domain (via subdomain). Here I can call the login but as soon as I am logged in I am also redirected back to the original domain (original page). So it is not possible to work in the backened (admin).

    Hi @gobomax21 ,

    Thanks for using FastDup!
Could you please record a short screencast to show exactly what you mean?

    You can use loom.com

    Hello Bruce,

Thanks first for your fast reply and perfect support. This is a “NSFW” site, so I do not want post this here. To make it more cleear:

All worked so far with duplication process. First I used the full package but it did not restore successfull (= very large 2,4 GB). So I deleted the DB, all files, made new DB. Then I did make only a DB package and all worked well. I deziped all WP files and copied them afterwards. Same I did with the “Online” version (on vServer) where the large (full) package also did not restore, but the DB package worked successfull. So I did load up there then all WP file via FTP.

Now what happens (both versions, Online and WP Local).
    Let’s define first:

Original site what was duplicated, let’s call: https://mysiteurl.com
    Online (duplicated) version: https://demo.othersiteurl.com
    WP local: mysiteclone.local

If you now call the WP admin on mysiteclone.local (WP local) or on https://demo.othersiteurls.com (Online) it show correct URL for WP admin *but* after you logged in it brings you on both versions to https://mysiteurl.com (“Original site”). Hope that helps to make it more clear.

I know from other plugins that you need define new URL and/or use “search an replace” Plugins to correct database (URL) entries after you did deploy a package after cloning and set site URL. Site URL is in both cases correct in WP table, I checked. So I did think it was because .htaccess or “hide wp login” plugin and did deactivate both (for test via rename _________) but did not help. Also with other browser (Chrome instead FF was same result). But I like your plugin as it is easy to handle and lightweight compared to several others (I did do such “clone process” already several times successfull with other plugins, Online or in WP local. Even with the same site where this problem now occurs).

    Kind regard,
    Gobomax

    Hi @gobomax21 ,

Since this has gotten technical and the issue is not happening generally, could you please reach out to developers for Teamview support:
