I am using the latest version of your plugin and the latest AMP plugin, google search console alerted me about the link rel = “canonical” tag is duplicated on my homepage, I thought it was the AMP plugin but I see That the problem disappears when I deactivate the Yoast plugin, please, could you solve this problem? It is causing very serious damage to my website.

@curchunflo We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties with your site due to the plugin.

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. ?If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?

If the issue is still occurring after confirming both Yoast SEO and WordPress are updated, this may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible by performing a conflict check to see whether the duplicate canonical being output is the result of another plugin or theme conflicting with the Yoast SEO plugin?

We have a guide on how to check for plugin conflicts available at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts
