    Hi,

I notice our site is sending duplicate transactional emails to our customers.

For example: If a customer places Order # 12345, he is receiving two separate emails confirming order # 12345 has been successfully placed. He would later also receive two separate emails confirming order # 12345 has been shipped.

I’ve been advised to contact you. Can you please investigate and assist?

    Hi @tictubso,

Thanks for reaching out! Please note that the WP Mail SMTP plugin does not trigger email sending itself. It acts as a bridge between your WordPress site and your email mailing service.

For example, if you have an order form on your website:

    1. A user submits the form.
    2. The sending of the notification email about the submission is triggered by the form (or another plugin).
    3. This email is then routed to the WP Mail SMTP plugin.
    4. The WP Mail SMTP plugin forwards this email to the mailer.
    5. The mailer sends and delivers it further.

To diagnose the issue of duplicated emails, please enable the?Debug Email Sending?option (refer to:?https://a.supportally.com/i/m7ZNC2). Then, reproduce the issue and share the backtrace of both the “original” and “extra” emails (refer to:?https://a.supportally.com/i/M8FUBs).

I hope this helps to troubleshoot your issue. Thanks!
