• I have a duplicate “um_customer” role type and this is causing issues.

When I delete the user type that should not exist (one of the um_customer roles) it removes all users from that role type associated with the OTHER role type – the one that I did not delete. I have been forced to rollback my website to a state before the deletion of the role because it changed the role type and thus the permissions for every user in that role.

I cannot change the name of the existing role type to something different and therefore I will have to redo permissions on every single page of my members-only website which is obviously not ideal.

Is there some way I can fix this or combine the two role types so that this is not an issue?

Deleting the role type and restoring the site from a backup has now caused the role type name to be completely blank and both the “Customer” role from Ultimate Member and the Customer role type that I created both still exist. This is maddening because I removed the original customer role type before creating this and it has since reappeared with an update and I cannot get rid of it. It simply deletes the customer role type I created instead.

Again – this is an even bigger issue now and I would appreciate some help.

The second “Customer” role now shows up as a blank entry – it cannot be deleted, I cannot remove the user role type from anyone’s profile, and I cannot make changes to either of the existing roles named “Customer” because of this. My entire website is broken.
