Duplicate user records

    Using WP 2.9.2 with bbPress 1.02

    We just converted from phpBB to bbpress, and in the import, duplicated a number of users (email addresses). The result is that each of these users can login and view, but even after login, when they go to post, it says “You must login to post”.

    How can I find all the duplicate email addresses and delete them? Other than the obvious one-by-one approach.

    Use phpMyAdmin and just browse the wp_users table and click on the user_email column to sort the records in email address order.

    Unfortunately, I look at this issue from a user perspective, as I am not a developer and could not be trusted to do anything in phpMyAdmin. I’m looking for a simple way to do this within the WP UI.
