Duplicate URLs generated by random numbers getting added to end of URLs
-
Hi,
Just noticed that most pages on my website has a duplicate URL created with a random number added to the end.
Ex: example.com/category/post/date now has a duplicate url like example.com/category/post/date/3010101919I am currently using canonical URLs to curb the issue but Google Webmaster Tools keep reporting “Duplicate URLs”.
– What are the possible ways this is created?
– Is there a mass rewrite option I can use (like an htaccess rewrite rule or a Robots.txt exclusion rule) to deal such duplicates?I am using WP Super Cache and Amazon Cloudfront CDN Sync tool for the images – which is the only “sophisticated” plugin running right now.
