    Hi,

We have setup everyting as the guide on your website. It works fine, except if someone is revisit the success page the transaction is added again and it makes duplicate transactions in analytics.

    Any solution for this?

  • Hello,

I’m not the developer, but I’m a fan of both this plugin and GTM.
I think your question is pretty well answered in Simo Ahava’s post, and you can edit all these options in your GTM UI.

Hope this solve the issue you’re facing.

    Hi,

Actually that should not happen as my plugin flags every transaction so that next time the order received page is visited, transaction data should not be added again.

Are you using any customization on the order received page?

Hi, the only thing i have changed is the endpoint url in woocommerce -> advance.

So this endpoint /order-received/ is changed to /order-mottagen/

    Can that be the problem?

Well, it shouldn’t be a problem but can you test this?
Can you revert back and check this with a new test order?

    Hi,

I did change it back. I give it a few days and see. Then i will try to create duplicate orders and see if it works now.

    Hi,

I seem to be struggling with the same issue as fieldgrove. Sorting transaction ID’s by number of transactions in google Analytics, indicates that this began 31 of january. This date corresponds with when I published a new container version in GTM. However, the only change in this version was that I created a constant variable for the GA ID, and used it in the tag configuration field tracking ID.

I am wondering if my integration->woocommerce checkboxes might be the source of the issue. Should ONLY one of “track classic e-commerce” and “track enhanced e-commerce” me checked? I have both checked…

If you have only one GA property, you should decide which ecommerce tracking would you like to use. I would prefer enhanced ecommerce but it is up to you to choose.

    Hi,

I did change it and after 2 days i can see that there still becomes duplicated products in the order at analytic.

So that was not the problem.

As the title of this issue “Duplicate transactions when visit success page again”
I don’t think it is relevant with this plugin itself but the cookies.

Can you post the URL of your site?
Can I somehow place a purchase without actually paying for it during checkout?

    Hi,

You cant make a order without paying. I did send you a link to a earlier order in the contact form on your home page. So you can have a look at that if it helps you.

FTR: another plugin was injecting a Google Global Site Tag (gtag.js) code into the thankyou page that caused duplicate tracking.

    Thanks for the help!

Hello, I’m having the same issue and I’m not sure it’s caused by the same issue. I loaded the datalayer in console with Google Chrome and I see the same customer / order data twice, but I don’t see two gtag.gs events

It’s the same site I sent you in my other thread

    Any ideas?

    Thank you
