Duplicate Title and Meta Description for pagination of a static homepage

Whenever one chooses to use the static page option in WordPress:
Settings / Reading / Front page displays -> A static page
and that page has pagination, all the pages have the same Title and Description (the ones written for the page itself).
The option present in Yoast at : Titles & Metas / Pages (eg. %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%) does nothing.
