Duplicate taxonomy names

Is there a way to get around the duplicate taxonomy name issue? For example I have 2 custom post types:

Vendors
Inspiration

The inspiration cpt has a taxonomy called ‘tags’ and ‘categories’. What’s happening is that I have 3 of the same taxonomy spanned across these 2 post types which results in makeup-artists-2, makeupartists-3 and makeup-artists (the tag).

For filtering, seo and display purposes in the url, i certainly cannot have the -2 or -3 appended to the url.

I understand WHY this is happening, because there are duplicates of the same taxonomy name, however is there a way around it? I do need each one of the specific taxonomies.

Vendors has a category called Makeup Artists, so does the Inspiration (blog) custom post type and the tag is important as well. Even if i remove the tag i’m still left with duplicates of the taxonomy names.
