Duplicate sites separate currencies, multisite?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help on the best practise for a site?

The site has both Sterling and Euro currencies but the payment gateway needs two separate installs of the gateway plugin and API for each currency, hence the two sites.

Can this or should it be installed as a multi-site?

I am having difficulties trying to figure out how to update content and products on one and then copy the updates to the other without affecting orders.

Obviously I can update one site and migrate with a variety of methods but I can’t seem to preserve the customers and orders on the site I copy the updates too.

Would a multisite install help in this scenario or any other methods of exporting and migrating content and products?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
