    I’m showing 3 reviews, with a total of 12 using the carousel. When I click on the second dot to move through the reviews, the first two are duplicates. When I move to the last page, the last two are duplicates. I have cleared the cache, looked in an incognito window, and confirmed that there aren’t really duplicates being pulled in from Google.

    @socialsparkmedia This isn’t specific to the carousel, rather there are duplicate reviews within your catalogue.

    This can sometimes occur with an author’s name changes or if a user is removed. it can sometimes occur if you perform a HTML Import and the existing review is not identified as the same.

    The solution here is simple: go to Reviews and delete the duplicate reviews. If you do not see the “trash” icon for one of the pair, just delete the other one instead. And, I would prioritise reviews retrieved using the Google API over those imported using the HTML Import feature.

    Thanks. I was able to remove the duplicate reviews.

    Is your recommendation to “prioritise reviews retrieved using the Google API over those imported using the HTML Import feature” a setting? or is this just a general recommendation?

    @socialsparkmedia Glad to hear it’s sorted.

    Duplicate reviews should be quite rare. On your website, I saw the duplicates, but each one had a different author’s initial.

    When deleting reviews, I just recommend prioritising those that are not imported and collected by the Places API.

    Normally, the HTML Import will identity the existing reviews and skip these. The author’s name will factor into the comparison.
