Since installing the plug, I am making it a habit to regularly check the 404s tab for 404’d URLs for which I need to add a redirect. The “Add redirect” feature is very handy and I am using it frequently.

However, I’ve often had the feeling that I’ve previously added a redirect for that URL. Today I went to the Redirects tab and ordered the URLs by name. I found a great many duplicates which I removed.

Should URLs which have been redirected continue to appear on the 404s tab? Shouldn’t the “Add redirect” function on the 404s tab check for an existing redirect?

    Thank you.

No, it doesn’t check for duplicates. Are you saying your redirects aren’t working?

As far as I know, the redirects are working. It seems that my question falls into the category of a feature request to check for duplicates before offering to “Add redirect”. Thank you for the plugin.
