Duplicate Product Structured Data with Woocommerce

The free version of WPSSO does not include support for 3rd party plugins, including WooCommerce, so you would not get any product meta tags from WPSSO. The Pro version of WPSSO includes support for WooCommerce, and I can assure you, the product information included in Twitter Card and Open Graph meta tags would be accurate. ??

That’s strange because when I turn off your plugin there is no longer a duplicate Product Schema tag. The tag that gets generated when turning on WPSSO is Product 1 that includes the faulty breadcrumb. It’s not there when WPSSO is off.

And to be extra clear, the second product tag is always present as its generated by Woocommerce.

WPSSO defines the webpage as a product. If you have incorrect breadcrumb markup, then that would create a problem. The next version of WPSSO will only define the head section as a product, thus only apply to the meta tags created by WPSSO. If you have problems in the rest of your document, these should not show up any longer. I might suggest you fix that markup in your templates though. ??

Am I correct to understand from the above that WPSSO free will not work with WooCommerce? I am getting the following message whilst editing a product, even though there is a product image:

An Open Graph image meta tag could not be created from this webpage content — Facebook and other social websites require at least one Open Graph image meta tag to render shared content correctly. You may select an optional customized image, for Facebook and other social websites, in the Social Settings metabox under the Priority Media tab.

It’s always best to open a new thread for a new issue, otherwise it gets a little confusing for folks trying to follow the original post. ??

WPSSO Free supports featured and attached images for posts, so as long as your featured image is large enough, WPSSO should have no problem including it. The WooCommerce module that comes with the Pro version also picks up additional product images, prices (for Pinterest and Twitter), stock levels, variations, etc.
