Duplicate product in cart

Hi, I have noticed that if I want to edit the additional product fields, it is not possible.
I have added a free text area to the product. Once the product has been filled in and added to the cart, it is no longer possible to edit the text area.
If I return to the product from the shopping cart summary, the field is empty.
If I fill it in again and add it to the shopping cart, two products then appear in the shopping cart summary.
The customer must manually remove the product they do not want.
How can I solve this?
