Duplicate posts

  • Hi, we use another plugin to post articles from a rss feed and that plugin went crazy and posted 100s of duplicates. But your plugin then posted those 100s of duplicates to social media. Just spent ages deleting posts on our blog and different social medias.

    Shouldn’t your plugin have caught this? Is there any duplicate posts prevention?

    It sounds like the plugin you’re using to post articles from an RSS feed may be treating each post as new, which is causing all posts to be published to social media. To prevent this from happening, you can disable the “Auto publish on creating posts/pages/custom post types” option in the plugin’s settings. Additionally, you can use the options to select specific WordPress custom post types and post categories for auto-publishing, which will help filter the posts for auto-publish based on your criteria.
