    Hi!
We’ve used this plugin for a longer time with succes and we are very happy with it.
But de plugin is no longer working. The duplicate post link is no longer visible under the page/blog/portfolio titles. The rights in settings are still good and I allready tried to deactivate every plugin, with only this plugin activated. But still didn’t work.
The wordpress version is also up to date. This plugin is also up to date.

What’s going wrong? Can you please help us out?

    Hi @studioaboven,
we’re sorry for the issue you’re experiencing.
I see you are mentioning the rights, can I ask you if you have checked the options for the individual links (“Clone”, “New Draft” and “Rewrite & Republish”) in the third tab of the settings called “Display”? We introduced those new options there and it’s possible that some glitch has prevented a smooth upgrade. Try also to reset those options, then save and re-enable those again to see if they are stored in the right way in the database.

    Let us know!

Hi! Thanks for the quick reply!

I have checked the options, all three of them.
Also have checked them out, saved and check again. Still not working..

(other off topic question. Since I got your answer in my email I got answers from other topics with this plugin as well (like ‘removing from all sites’ and ‘annoying ads’). Do you know how I can setup here that I do only get your answers on my own topic/question? ?? )

    Hi @studioaboven,
just to understand: can’t you see any of the commands in any place?
    – “Clone”, “New Draft” and “Rewrite & Republish” under the title in Posts Overview
    – “Clone” and “Rewrite & Republish” in the Bulk Actions menu
    – “Copy to a New Draft” and “Rewrite & Republish” while editing a post
    – “Copy to a New Draft” and “Rewrite & Republish” in the toolbar above

Also, did you try with different users having different roles?

I’m also sorry for the multiple email notifications, it shouldn’t happen so I suppose there is some problem in the www.remarpro.com forums…

I experienced the same issue after the latest update to 5.6. Looks like the update removed the “roles allowed to copy” permissions and I had to reselect admin as seen here https://d.pr/i/QfpUgr

    Hi @abossola

Thanks for reporting your findings and letting us know how you resolved this from your end.

    @studioaboven

Could you also check the ‘Permissions’ tab in the Duplicate Post settings and check if the correct roles are ticked for the ‘roles allowed to copy’ option?

    Thread Starter Studio Above

    (@studioaboven)

    1. Yes the roles are ticked.
    2. I don’t see any of the commands here anymore. None of the 4 places you describe.

And thank you. Than I think there is a problem in the forums.

    Hi @abossola,

To help us understand what’s happening, would you be able to you send us links to screenshots that show what appears in the post edit screen? Also, can you go to Settings > Duplicate Post and send us screenshots of your settings or any errors there as well?

If you haven’t already, it might help to check your PHP error log for any error messages. You can do this by enabling WordPress debugging or contact your web host.

Having the same problem after updating the plugin. All permissions are set, the “clone” option is set to show in the admin bar as well as the posts list and edit screen. Right now it only shows up in the posts list, nowhere else.

I’ve disabled/enabled the plugin, removed and re-added all permissions, checked and unchecked just about everything… nothing works.

Also worth noting that after the plugin was updated nothing was checked in the “display” screen, which is not good.

Hoping in these last few months a solution has been found for this, even though nothing appears to have been posted here.

Edit: Looks like the “New Draft” option works now, but “Clone” never shows up anywhere. Guessing the two are basically the same anyway? (no info is given in the plugin, which would be nice)

Also worth noting the “New Draft” text is SUPER not helpful in some situations as that phrase does not have anything to do with copying or cloning. In the admin bar and post-edit mode the text shows as “Copy to a new draft” which is great, but in the post list it shows as “New Draft” which is bad UX.

This is marked as resolved, but I don’t see the resolution. I have this plugin on dozens of sites and it has stopped working on all of them. And yes, I have tried all of the above and confirmed the settings are correct, etc. Again — I’ve used this plugin for a long time, and haven’t changed any settings
