    We are suddenly seeing duplicate orders again when a customer pays for their items using debit/credit card. I think this has also occurred with paypal before but not certain of this.

    So what happens, is the customer is seeing a “Error processing checkout. Please try again.” message which makes the customer obviously think the order hasn’t gone through – BUT it has indeed completed – so the customer reorders again and again.

    This problem has been happening on an off for us now over the past at least 5 years and is highly frustrating to say the least! It seems to resolve itself after a while but then will come back a year or so later…We have just had a customer place the same order 5 times!!

    We only have two errors in our logs which appear to preceed the date the issue occured: –

    I understand this is a frustrating situation, I assure you we will do out best to help you figure this out as soon as possible.

    The error you shared is related to the plugin woocommerce-rma-for-return-refund-and-exchange, I don’t think it is related, but we will keep it in mind.

    You mentioned this probably happened with PayPal before, to confirm, now it happened with a Stripe order, correct?

    Do you see any similarities between the orders this happened to? It can be similar address, products, same credit card company, etc.

    Can you please share a screenshot of the order notes on some those? Please remove any sensitive information before sharing it here. I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Can you also please share the System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support so we can take a look?
