• We use the Braintree plugin created by you as our primary payment system. It was recommended to us by Braintree. WooCommerce was not willing to help us and sent us straight to you.

    We are receiving unintended duplicate orders. We have done A LOT of testing, here is the data:

    – Duplicates occur when customers use BrainTree payment gateway
    – Duplicates occur within 2-5 minutes of the original
    – The first order shows in WooCommerce as “new” status, but does not have a transaction ID
    – The second order showsin WooCommerce as “new” status, but does have a transaction ID
    – We log into our BrainTree account to find out the customer does have two separate transactions

    This has been occurring since March 20, 2017

    We updated WooCommerce and BrainTree gateway plugins after we started experiencing duplicates, around 3/22/17. The duplicates are still occurring after the updates.

    It happened for about a week or so, then never happened again. We did not make any changes. It might have been an issue with BrainTree. I would recommend switching the to official WC BrainTree plugin and not this third-party plugin. We just made the switch to a new gateway and we used the official WC plugin. The plugin is more robust and has a better UX.
