    Hello,

I created simple forms which all send double notifications (there is only one form per page).
At first, I disabled all plugins (including cache plugins) but the issue persists.

The only way to fix it, is to change in the form settings the method from “Ajax” to “Page reload”.

However, the forms are at the bottom of the pages, and with page reload the user can’t see the confirmation message after the reload. Therefore I would like to keep the Ajax method.

Is this a bug and is there a way to fix it?

    Kind regards,
    Francesco

    Hi @francescocsto

    I hope you’re well today!

I think this is more of an individual case related to something specific to the site but we’ll need to look into it.

I see that form appears to be quite simple but despite that, could you please export it from the site and share with us to test on our end?

    To export and share form:

    – go to the “Forminator -> Forms” page
    – click on a little “gear” icon next to the form in question
    – select “Export” option and either copy the given code or download the export file

    – if you copied the code, please put it on pastebin.com service and share direct link to it in response
    – if you downloaded export file, please put it on your Google Drive, Dropbox or similar account and share direct (public) link to it in response below.

    Let us also know:
    – are you using any additional caching and/or asset optimization plugin on site?
    – are you using some sort of page builder for the site and if yes – what is it?
    – are you using some SMTP plugin on site to handle e-mails and if yes – what is it?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hello Adam,
thank you for taking the time for the exhaustive guidance.

I exported the form here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hslPN71T8npQl_SoziaLWxoaOhhl54vq/view?usp=sharing

    To your questions:
    – are you using any additional caching and/or asset optimization plugin on site?
Yes, Autoptimize and WP Fastest Cache, but even after disabling them the issue persists. I disabled them again, in case you need to test on the website.

    – are you using some sort of page builder for the site and if yes – what is it?
I am using only Generatepress theme and Generateblocks plugin, which usually don’t have compatibility problems with Forminator.

    – are you using some SMTP plugin on site to handle e-mails and if yes – what is it?
Not currently. I tried to use Postman after I saw the issue, but it still sent double notifications. Currently it’s disabled.

    Additional info:
I use Forminator also on a different website with the same theme/plugins/server and the forms work fine.

    Kind regards,
    Francesco

    Hi @francescocsto

I hope you are doing well.

    Thank you for the form,

I tested this on my lab site but I couldn’t replicate the issue, I also tried to install the Theme and plugin but made no difference.

Had you also switched to the default WordPress theme on your website to verify if the issue is gone?

I checked the browser console on your website and I see Forminator makes only one Ajax request https://monosnap.com/file/uqXC12LfrSK2kDTLUqqAAT6xxanwtw So the email seems to be coming from somewhere else.

Let us know the result you got on theme switch.
    Best Regards
