Hi, I’m getting 2 notification emails with each new order, to admin & to the customer.

This is only happening with Stripe payments when using the credit/debit card. We also have Paypal & Clearpay which it does not happen to. Also, this Stripe plugin is handling Apple Pay & those payments are going through fine, with the one email only.

When checking the order notes, I can see that “Order status changed from Pending payment to Processing” occurs twice with same date/time stamp. Same thing goes for the “Stripe charge complete (Charge ID: [code_number])”.

The emails appear exactly the same. The only difference is the 2nd email fails to show the product image thumbnail. The <img> tag has the wrong url source, pointing at https://www.w3.org/2000/svg’%20viewBox=’0%200%20100%2050’%3E%3C/svg%3E”.

At the time being, we can’t give you an estimate for when the team will look into or fix the issue, as bug reports are prioritized based on a few criteria. Please subscribe to the GitHub issue if you’d like to receive updates.

Meanwhile, you may use the legacy checkout experience as a temporary workaround, which should resolve this issue.

what would I be missing out on by switching to legacy checkout?

Some payment methods, such as Affirm, Afterpay, Cash App Pay, Klarna and WeChatPay, are only available on the new checkout.
But it mostly alters how payment options are displayed to customers.

We’re having the same issue. Double payments and orders. The e-mail is not sending on time, the clients are thinking they lost their money. Please hurry with this. Launch a solution ASAP.
