I’m using the Genesis framework child theme. Upon activating WPSSO Core, a duplicate meta tag shows up in the head section. (<meta name=”author” …) I have spent quite a bit of time trying to remove the Genesis one without success so I’d like to know if the WPSSO meta-author tag can be removed from the head.

I reviewed wpsso documentation and found the “Head Tags List” in Advanced Settings but it shows “No options available” for all available tabs. I have not set up social media site info yet since I’m trying to verify that my site is compatible with wpsso first. I would have assumed that the meta tag I want to disable via wpsso (in the head) would be under the SEO/Other tab.

Here is a link to the site. Thanks. -rvc

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In the SSO > Essential settings page, you must have checked the “Hide All Pro Version Options” – almost all options in the SSO > Advanced settings page are Pro version options, so most of those tabs will be empty.

You could always use the WPSSO SSM extension and have it remove those duplicate meta tags as well. ?? It always best to deactivate features at their source, but when that’s not possible, WPSSO SSM is a good option. ??
