Duplicate meta name=”description” with each post ?

We reviewed your pages and we confirm that there are duplicate meta description tags. However, we are not sure if it’s JetPack or another plugin that is inserting the second meta description tag.

We’d recommend you either:

• Perform a conflict check to identify what plugin or theme is generating the extra meta tag

Thanks for your help.

It’s confirm that it’s inserted by Jetpack. As while disabling the Jetpack plugin, I see there is no second meta description tag. after enabling Jetpack only I see the duplicate meta description tag.

@kapson Jetpack suggested inserting the following filter to remove its meta tags:

add_filter( ‘jetpack_enable_open_graph’, ‘__return_false’ );

And Yoast already inserted the code: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/blob/23d33beb51ddedd4c3f8a7e45183f7e691e3a63b/frontend/class-opengraph.php#L45

Maybe there’s another conflict there somewhere which enables the meta tags again.
