• When I activated this plugin (free version), it created two “Welcome to BuddyPress” pages under the Dashboard menu. I cannot uninstall BuddyPress as it is required for the theme and purpose of the site (e-learning community). The problem goes away if I deactivate the Admin Menu Editor plugin but this kinda defeats the purpose of having it installed.

That’s a known issue. BuddyPress actually has two “Welcome” menus, but normally it hides them before WordPress displays the admin menu. Unfortunately, it hides them in a non-standard way, so AME still detects them as visible.

As a workaround, you could hide the duplicate items in AME. In the free version, the best way to do that is to select a menu and click the toolbar button that looks like a grey puzzle piece. This will hide the selected menu without changing its permissions.

(If you don’t have a toolbar button like that, click the “Settings” button and turn on the option “Enable the “Show/Hide” toolbar button”.)

Thank you for your super quick response! ??

Oh, OK! That makes sense. This doesn’t affect the functionality of BuddyPress, correct?

I think it wouldn’t affect BuddyPress.
