Oh, and it breaks the menu also, the drop downs don’t work.

Oh well, as the site is live, I must disable the plugin for now.

    Hi there!

It’s hard to tell what the problem could be now that the plugin is disabled (although I understand why you had to disable it of course), so it’ll have to be a bit of guesswork.

I can see that with the current functionality, the menu is already sticky (albeit in a different way than my plugin does). Did you try my plugin with the current functionality? In other words, did you not disable the current stickyness function before using mine? That may definitely be a cause of conflict.

The reason the links break, is (most likely) because the items in the menu aren’t actually links (in the classic, semantic sense) but are being created/powered by JavaScript – though I’m not sure what script/plugin would do that.

Is there a test/staging site where you could turn on the plugin, so I can see how things go wrong?

    Hi

The reason I used that UberMenu plugin (which is a mega menu) was that my Theme did not support the functionality I wanted in my menus. However, the them has just been updated and has added tons of menu options, so I shall experiment with that. I can’t leave the menu problem live, and the development server is local, not on the web. But I do understand what you are saying, and it does make sense.

    Hi

So, to recap for anybody else that is in my same position. I have Ultimatum Theme and I am using the Bootstrap 3 Bootswatch Darkly theme. I WAS using the UberMenu plugin, but that was the problem. With Ultimatum Theme 2.7 the theme now has the option of a Bootstrap Menu. I chose this in the default position (other options are fixed top or bottom). The search form was in the wrong place, but changing the margin-right to 10px of the form fixed that. Now Sticky Menu works like a charm.

Glad to hear you got it figured out, @cotswoldphoto ??
