I’m seeing a duplicate link for Media Tags under the Media section label in my WordPress admin area. Both links go away when the File Gallery plugin is disabled. I’m thinking it could be something left over in the database from the Media Tags plugin that I also tried, which has since been deleted.

I’d like to use the File Gallery plugin and try to clean up whatever is causing this duplicate link–assuming that with File Gallery I can use shortcode within a page, post, or widget to pull in documents according to an assigned tag.

    Thanks,

    Lindsay

Does any one have any thoughts on this? My Media library link shows these sub options:

    Media
    – Library
    – Add New
    – Media tags (hyperlinks to ../wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=media_tag&post_type=attachment)
    – Media tags (hyperlinks to ../wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=media_tag)

Clicking the second Media Tags link lands me in the Posts section of the WP backend. I don’t want duplicate Media tags links. Any suggestions?

    Hi Lindsay,

until WP version 3.5, the plugin had to register the menu by itself (which File Gallery does), but now, WordPress does it automatically, so there’s two items instead of just one.

I’ll release a new version of the plugin tonight, which fixes this and many other issues.

Wow! Thanks for doing that. That sure puts my mind at ease!
