Duplicate instances for Facebook Pixel form submissions

    Hello!

    I installed Controls for Contact Form 7 in order to track form submission on my website. The pixel is active and the plugin register form submissions, but 1 form submission is registered multiple times (2 or 3 times) at a time.

    Example:

    • At 4:15 PM I submitted on my website a contact form and clicked only 1 time on the submit button
    • In Events Manager on Facebook the Contact Event registered the submit 3 times, at 4:15 PM, even if it was only 1 form submission

    How can I solve this issue?

    Hi @mariaalinapetrea!

    The plugin is firing two events — on form submit and sent which allows you to capture the events even if the actual sending of the form email doesn’t work due to server configuration or error.

    The second “Sent” event can be filtered out on Facebook using the content_category property which is set to either Submit, Sent, Error or Spam.
