• I have never seen this before. When I go to the plugins tab in my admin, I have two of the same plugin listed for each of my plugins. How is this possible?

Go to your site’s plugins folder (../wp-content/plugins) and see if there’s 2 copies of the same plugin. If yes, remove one of them will do.

@reginabally I looked at this in my ftp and there is only one copy. I can deactivate one copy of the plugin and make sure the site works, but I’m scared to fully delete a duplicate.

Yes, deactivating one copy of the plugin is fine but the duplicate plugin will still appear on the Plugins listing and might cause confusion to other site admin (if there’s any).

If you only see one copy of the plugin, then probably the duplicate copy’s folder is being renamed. Try to click into each one of them to see if that’s the case.
